When we give away our power to others, we may have the best intentions to take care of or work with them, but we inevitably feel the impact on our own health and wellbeing. Whether it is with friends, family, or in business environments, we have to make time and space to acknowledge the things that give us power, and to communicate our needs appropriately. If you feel fatigue, irritation, or dismay at how situations you thought you had under control have turned out, it’s time to check in with whether or not you are giving your power away. Today I outline several common scenarios in which we may not prioritize our voice and our needs, and offer five ways to help you take the power back.
