Today we are shattering a well-intentioned, but misguided perception that I encounter all the time. Over and over, my clients tell me that they are exhausted and doing everything they can to take care of their families, but that at the end of the day, they have nothing left for themselves. Yet, when we explore the idea of putting ourselves first, they invariably worry that they are being selfish. In order to support ourselves and the ones we love, we must practice putting ourselves first, and taking care of our needs in a healthy and balanced way.
